The Thrane Explorer 300 is among the smallest and most compact BGAN terminals built.  It offers leading edge performance for the lightweight mobile office enabling broadband data and voice in the remotest locations.

The Thrane 300 Explorer supports:-

• Broadband data up to 384 kbps via Ethernet, Bluetooth or RJ11 with guaranteed data rates up to 64 kbps
• Toll quality voice with a direct dial phone number via any inexpensive telephone unit with the usual services, voicemail, call forwarding, call baring, call hold
• SMS (Short Message Service) Text based messages (160 characters similar to GSM mobile)

Data and voice charges compare very favourably to the GSM and 3G networks roamed rates

The Explorer 300 comes with Inmarsat’s unique and free BGAN Launchpad software giving rapid set up and easy access to the units advanced functions including call and data usage logs, address book and performance interface.

The unit is packed with features and with its incredibly low weight (just over 1 Kg) the Explorer 300 will soon become your constant travelling companion. It enables you to work just just about anywhere in the world*, regardless of fixed line infrastructure and is ideal as a 1 user solution.

The unit comes complete with mains AC charger, and full instructions for operation and set-up, and can be mastered by anyone used to setting up a laptop PC or MAC for use on a wireless network or setting up their PC to work, say, in a hotel foyer. Established uses can normally be online from a cold start in about 5 minutes.
