The ultimate “broadband anywhere” unit for groups of users
The Explorer 700 is the flagship of the Thrane Explorer family of BGAN land mobile terminals and enables broadband data, voice and ISDN in the remotest locations for numbers of users. Users can even access services by a wireless LAN created by the unit.
The weather resistent detachable antenna allows the unit to be based indoors or underground up to 100 metres away from a harsh environment.
The Thrane 700 Explorer supports:-
- Broadband data up to 492kbps via with guaranteed data rates up to 450 kbps with BGAN X-Stream
- Connection to your PC or MAC via Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB (handset via RJ11)
- Toll quality voice with a direct dial phone number via any inexpensive telephone unit with the usual services, voicemail, call forwarding, call baring, call hold
- ISDN data 64 kbps
- SMS (Short Message Service) Text based messages (160 characters similar to GSM mobile)
Data and voice charges compare very favourably to the GSM and 3G networks roamed rates
The Explorer 700 comes with Inmarsat’s unique and free BGAN Launchpad software giving rapid set up and easy access to the units advanced functions including call and data usage logs, address book and performance interface.
The unit offers excellent performance and is our most popular BGAN product. It enables you to work just just about anywhere in the world*, regardless of fixed line infrastructure and is ideal as a 1 – 6 user solution.
